Data Protection Notice for Sweepstakes/Raffles

Data Protection Notice for Sweepstakes/Raffles

We are pleased if you participate in one of our competitions and wish you luck!

Because we process your personal data in the process, we would like to explain this to you in more detail:

We process your data (name, e-mail address, employer, sweepstake response) primarily for the purpose of being able to determine a winner. In addition, this information may be used to communicate with you, for example if you ask us questions or have comments. We do not use your participant data for advertising (you may receive marketing information from us due to other contexts; you can then object at any time).

The legal basis for this data processing is your consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter a GDPR), which you give when you reply to our sweepstakes. You can revoke your consent at any time, in which case we will delete your reply and will not take it into account elsewhere.

We do not forward your data to other recipients. Only our technical service providers could theoretically gain access. These service providers may also be located in third countries. However, they are bound to secrecy by contractual regulations, in particular by data processing agreements.

The storage period of this information depends on the purpose stated above. As a rule, we delete e-mails after 3 years; insofar as accounting or tax requirements must be met, the storage period is usually 10 years.

The provision of your data is voluntary. You are not obligated to provide us with data in the context of a raffle/sweepstakes – but then you cannot participate in the raffle.

You probably know your rights as a data subject pretty well by now, at least in theory. As far as the legal requirements are met, you have (as always) the right to information (Art. 15 GDPR), to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and, if applicable, to objection (Art. 21 GDPR).

You also have the right to lodge a complaint about data processing to the data protection supervisory authority. We would be pleased if, in case of doubt, you would contact us first.

fox-on Datenschutz GmbH is responsible for the data processing. You can reach us via our contact form; further contact options can be found in the imprint.

You can reach fox-on’s Data Protection Officer using the same contact options or directly via ds [at]fox-on.com.

Further statements about the handling of your personal data in other contexts can be found on our overview page “Privacy Notice”.
