Purpose of the data processing
fox-on Privacy Ltd is appointed as UK data protection representative by companies not established in the United Kingdom. We process personal data for these purposes:
- Receiving, coordinating and forwarding enquiries from data subjects and supervisory authorities in our function as UK data protection representative.
- Professional communication.
- Fulfilling legal obligations, e.g. in compliance with data protection rights.
Legal basis
We process your personal data with your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 letter a UK GDPR) or to comply with legal obligations (Art. 6 para. 1 letter c UK GDPR).
In some cases, we or our customer may have legitimate interests (Art. 6 Para. 1 Letter f UK GDPR) in providing consulting services.
Categories and source of personal data
We process the data that you provide us, or our customer provides about you.
This may include the following: Name, contact details, your work details, your enquiry, answers to your enquiry.
Recipients
The following organisations may receive the personal data:
- The company for which we are appointed as UK representative.
- fox-on Datenschutz GmbH (www.fox-on.com) in Germany provides operational support for the handling and forwarding of enquiries on behalf of fox-on Privacy Ltd. This also allows their service providers who provide or maintain their IT infrastructure to gain insight. - Entities to whom we are legally obliged to disclose data or who act to protect legal interests (e.g. tax advisors, auditors, solicitors).
The recipients may be located outside of the United Kingdom. The legal basis for the transfer to third countries is an adequacy decision by the UK government or standard data protection clauses for restricted transfer issued by ICO.
Storage period
Personal data is stored for as long as necessary for the above-mentioned purposes and as long as legal retention periods require this.
Your rights as a data subject
As a data subject you are entitled to the following rights, provided that the legal requirements are fulfilled:

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Controller or the Information Commission about the processing of your data.
Provision of data
It is up to you whether you provide us with data about yourself. However, if you do not provide us with sufficient data, we may not be able to forward your request.

Automated decision making and profiling does not take place at fox-on Privacy Ltd.
